Indigenous Home Office

During the beginning of covid, I was figuring out
how I could incorporate culture and art while
stuck at home. My mom is the hardest worker I
know, and was struggling with working through
the pandemic, so I partnered with my sister to
redo a space in her home to create an
“Indigenous Home Office” so she could
comfortably work from home in style! On the left
side we have a Raven (Ganaaxteidi) and Killer
Whale (Daklaweidi) depiction, on the right side of
the window is a Frog and Wolf to represent our
family. We also styled the space with First
Nations pillow + throw blanket, beaded flowers in
vase, metis sash, birch bark basket, smudge
bowl and coca-cola (no bepsi available!)
